Phonograms are letters or groups of letters
that work together to make one sound. This home school
spelling worksheet covers the "K" sound phonograms. There are
four phonograms that make the "K" sound.
Homeschool Spelling Worksheet- C makes the "K" Sound
The letter C makes two sounds. In this worksheet we will
only deal with the "K" sound because that is the sound it
makes most of the time. The other sound the letter C makes
will be covered in another worksheet.
Examples: cat, car, clock, cup, cap, candle, caterpillar,
cut, computer, cap, cape, cute, cookie, cake, cod, code,
collect, cactus, carcass, picnic
Notice that when C makes the "K" sound, the letter C is not
followed by the letters e, i or y.
