10 Steps for WAHM
After working at home with only the kids as conversation
pieces, how does a WAHM keep the mind in shape? Exercise the
mind. Here are 10 tips to do everyday to keep the writing
flowing and the mind content .
1) Top of the to do list, write everyday. Have a hard time
finding time to write, read the articles on Getting Organized.
2) Exercise everyday, even if it is lifting the baby up and
down, this will work the triceps and biceps and the baby will
think it is a game.
3) Make a goal list everyday, just because you are at home
doesn't mean there are not goals to be met. Make a list of at
least 3 everyday.
4) Keep a food journal to monitor what is eaten everyday.
5) Read something educational or inspirational everyday. It can
be something as simple as a day of the calendar but it will keep
your brain in gear.
6) Take 5 to 10 minutes everyday and meditate. Sit in a quite
room and do not let the mind wander, keep it blank as a piece of
paper.
7) Complete something, anything everyday for a feeling of
accomplishment.
8) Be kind to someone and do something nice.
9) Laugh everyday, it helps the stomach muscles.
10) And Write everyday.
What Comes Next
Most of the above have to do with writing. That is because
writing everyday is the only way to improve, gain confidence,
and finish a novel. So today, laugh, be kind, play, but most of
all write something.
