Figure out what about the novel is remarkable, unforgettable, unique and use this to entice the customer. How does the author figure out these attributes?
By asking some questions about the novel.
What does the novel do, how is it meant to help others?
An example for a writer might be: What are the benefits of writing one genre over another?
What is the target audience?
Will the novel be fiction or non-fiction?
Will the novel be for children or adults?
What is it that sets the novel apart from the million others on the market?
Use the imagination and make the answers very detailed, this will help when marketing the novel begins. Write the answers to these questions down and use them to help to tailor the marketing plan to the novel.
